Good afternoon every one and all, today's blog comes from the tour bus travelling South on the M74 from Glasgow where we have just spent three magical nights. But there's so much to tell you about!
Firstly, the show in Manchester last week was pretty memorable, though due to delays, doors opened before we'd finished sound-checking so a few lucky folks who ran through the doors and over to the stage (to our surprise and delight) heard 'She Wants Something Else' twice that night.
Next we rushed Scotlandwards to Edinburgh to play to a very receptive Liquid Room which was a little bit totally wicked. The after-gig joys of that one involved packing up in a storm and lugging heavy equipment up a steep hill in the rain. We didn't let that dampen our spirits though (pardon the pun) as some thoughtful soul had put chocolate on our rider.
South of the border again, we enjoyed a country trek in the van through the Lake District (stopping off to pass judgment on some roast lamb) all the way down to Barrow-In-Furness. There was some pear cider in the dressing room. I don't know who it was meant for, but I certainly had some of it.
After the Barrow gig we headed off pretty sharpish to beat the weather (the night of the dreaded storms) and ended up driving all the way up to Glasgow. The Glasgow gig was the next evening and was fantastic, and one thing I'll say for Oran Mor is that the dressing room toilets are exquisite.
A day off yesterday was spent keeping up-to-date with our MySpace page and recording some acoustic tracks for Xfm Scotland, although I did have a sore throat which made it a bit more difficult than usual. We capped off the day with a meal at a delightful Scottish restaurant.
Before we go though, I'd like to draw your attention to the 'Lily Allen and Friends' show on BBC3 next Tuesday, which we'll be playing on if we get enough votes in the head-to-head! Please help us out by voting at http://www.bbc.co.uk/lilyallen/vote.shtml
Thank you all for reading; more Clocks news soon.
